Peer Mentor Application



APPLICATION DEADLINE:  Wednesday, October 21st at Noon.  


There are TWO PARTS to the application.  Please submit both parts at the same time.

PART A:  Please submit a 3- to 5-minute video that will answer the following questions. (Videos will be evaluated on CONTENT as well as CREATIVITY.  We're looking for your "Wow" factor -- don't TELL us about your enthusiasm for this position, SHOW us.)

1)  Why are you interested in becoming a Peer Mentor?

2)  What strengths do you bring to the position?

3)  What do you hope to learn from becoming a Peer Mentor? 

4)  What sets you apart from other Peer Mentor applicants?


Instructions for video submission:

Share your video on Google Drive.  Please share your video with Lara Andrews (, Meghan Biery (, and Michelle Shumate ( on Google Drive.  We will then receive an email with a link to your video which we will view as part of your application.

PART B:  Please complete the webform below.

Before completing application, please read the Roles and Responsibilities of a Peer Mentor.

PLEASE NOTE:  All Peer Mentors are required to take a one-credit class that meets every Wednesday from 3:30 to 5:30pm in the second half of the Spring 2016 semester.  You must be able to attend this class to become a Peer Mentor.  You must also meet a minimum cumulative GPA requirement of 2.8.  First-year applicants should enter "N/A" for their GPA.
